DIY DOLL KIT – The doll making kit sent by Little Hive has become a special box to me as it reflected the order that I long for and sometimes life doesn’t give that easily. You need to work for it.
The templates were precise, the little string pouch for the thread kit and accessories, the big pouch for the organic sheep wool stuffing, the little booklet so meticulously made with precise details, the wrapping for all these and the beautiful personalised card from the creator Ms. Sowmya Vikram – A treasure to hold indeed.

STORY IN A BOX (Barry Beetle) – Sowmya’s Barry Beetle is one of those rare things of beauty that is a delight for both parent and child. For me, the connection to the project was about harbouring inclusivity, but for my children, who don’t function with such labels, it was the joy of discovering a story with endless possibilities, that might be contained in a box but always took them out of boxes (and labels) that we live with.

STORY IN A BOX (Two Little Mice) – The delightful little mice managed to steal not just the doughnut but also a special place in our heart and are an integral part of our evening ritual. I was pleasantly surprised when my pink obsessed three year old picked this hand made story book over her favorite Pinkalicious. She loves enacting the scenes from this cute story, as I read it to her. Often, the story quickly grows on it’s own leading to open ended toddler play time and peaceful laundry time for the mother. The crochet work is beautiful and clearly made with a lot of love. It is even a hit with my 8 month old. He loves playing and chewing on the box and wishes he could get his hands on a mouse while the sister is not looking. Story in a box is a great idea and product. I am happy I got it.
